Friendship Village Volunteer Agreement
As a volunteer, I Will:
- Perform my duties and complete my job to the best of my abilities
- Provide adequate notice to the Village if I am not able to work as scheduled
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to the Village or to specific people.
- Accept supervision and feedback and work as a team with staff and other volunteers.
- Follow all village policies and procedures, including recording hours.
- Be courteous in contact with the public, satff and other volunteers.
- Attend volunteer meetings appropriate to my area of work.
Friendship Village of Kalamazoo will:
- Provide me with the necessary training, supervision and information to meet my volunteer responsibilities.
- Treat me as a vuled part of the staff and volunteer team.
- Give me an assignment compatible with my skills and individual needs.
- Be receptive to suggestions I might have for improvements
- Keep me informed regarding policy changes at the Village.
- Give me constructive feedback and recognition for my volunteer efforts.
- Help me identify opportunities for growth or new directions in my volunteer job as appropriate.
Friendship Village Code of Conduct
Volunteers must adhere to this code of conduct.
- Refrain from profanity and insulting language.
- Maintain good behavior
- Wear reasonable and suitable clothing. No midriffs exposed or low cut blouses. Shirts and shoes required.
- Refrain from sexual behavior or physically abusive behavior
- No fighting, gambling or soliciting
- No alcohol or drug use. Persons suspected to be under the influence will be asked to leave.
- Respect the staff and residents and the operation of the village
- No accepting money or gifts from the residents
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Village.
- Always sign in at the Health Center desk ewhen entering or re-entering building.
- No tobacco use inside building. Smoking is acceptable in designated areas only.
